Acreditar e criticar

I don't really have a life philosophy; my thing is just rebelling against pretty much organized religion. That is my main thing, because personally I think it's a crutch for people that are too weak to get through life on their own. I'm the kind of guy that says if I don't see it, then it doesn't work. And nobody can show me God.

Com mais de duas décadas de carreira, Slayer continuam em forma e sem receio de dizerem o que pensam.

Enquanto outros representantes do Metal americano "amadureceram" (Metallica e Megadeth), Slayer continuam uma instituição e fiéis aos seus valores. O novo álbum será um vil ataque à religião organizada.

Megadeth, que já criticaram o fanatismo religioso, atacam hoje em dia a política. Dave Mustaine, líder dos Megadeth, é hoje em dia um crente convicto e não quer envolver-se em crítica religiosa. Mas observar aquilo que resultou de um grupo de acontecimentos que tiveram lugar há mais de dois milénios, não será o mesmo que dizer mal de Deus ou dos que acreditam nele.

Aliás, o vocalista de Slayer, Tom Araya, é crente.

Acham que caso exista, Deus, estará orgulhoso das instituições que o dizem representar? Slayer acham que não e, felizmente, têm a liberdade para se exprimir como bem entendem.
